Menestra de lentejas Holy Molly

1 green pepper
1 white onion
1 green plantain (Shredded)
2 TBS of Achiote Oil
1 chicken broth cube
1 ½ TSP   Cumin (Ground)
1 TSP Oregano (Ground)
Salt (To Taste)
½ of a cube of Butter
Cilantro (Fresh or Dry)
Soak lentils overnight.
Drain the water, put lentils in a pot. In a blender add green pepper, onion and water and blend to liquid. Pour in the pot with lentils. Next add butter, achiote and chicken broth cube. Cook it for 20 min. then add the plantain. Cook until the plantain is soft then add salt, cumin, and oregano and let it cook for 5 more minutes. Very last add cilantro.
